South Worcester Lifeguards Amy Weston represents GB Performance Squad on the international stage

Following on from the World Rescue Lifesaving competition in September this year, South Worcester Lifeguards Club member Amy Weston 15, returned back to the Pieter Van Den Hoogeband National Swimming Pool in Holland last weekend to compete as part of the GB Performance Squad.

It is the first time Amy has represented the GB Performance team on the international stage and competed against swimmers from the National teams of Italy, Germany, Holland, Canada and South Africa.

Amy took part in the 200m obstacle swim, 50m manikin carry, 100m manikin tow with fins, 100m rescue medley and 200m Super Lifesaver in the 15-18 year olds achieving a personal best in the latter two. She was also part of the GB Junior girls relay team.
